Staged from the 3rd to the 9th of September in Changwon International Shooting Range, with 2000 athletes from 300 participating teams.
The 1st Changwon Mayor’s Cup National Shooting Competition which was launched to commemorate the big success of the 52nd ISSF World Championship and make the shooting sports popular was reportedly con-cluded well.
2,000 athletes from 300 teams participated and competed in the All International events which included Rifle, Pistol, Shotgun and Running Target.
The Organizing Committee presented the winners with Onnuri Gift Certificates so that they would visit the local market because they expected that it would result into economic activation.
The citizens who also turned up for the shoot-ing range enjoyed watching a wide range of competitions and experienced the Survival Laser Shooting which is as exciting as Battle Ground.
Huh Sung-moo, Mayor of Changwon City made an announcement, “Shooting sports is a pride and also a legacy to us.” He went ahead saying, “We will take the initiative in making the boundless possibility of the shooting sports known to more people and expanding its base.” He concluded by saying that this will be our common goal.
