Burim Hanbok Festival Captures Tourists’ Fascination with Traditional Culture
Under the slogan, “Changwon Embroidered by the Beauty of Hanbok,” the Fifth Burim Hanbok Festival was held in Masan Burim Traditional Market and in Chang-dong for three days, celebrating the culture of traditional Korean garment, called hanbok in Korean. During the three-day festival, actors and citizens participated in Hanbok Flashmob events that colored the Chang-dong area with beautiful colors of traditional Korean dresses and shirts. Activities in the festival included hanbok fashion show, in which any resident could participate, as well as hanbok accessory activities, traditional games, and hanbok makeup sessions, all conducted in a stamp tour style. Silk Road Team performers from Daekyeong University, who gathered much attention from the crowd last year, also participated in the opening ceremony to offer entertainment to the visitors.
