As Changwon’s representative festival, Jinhae Gunghangje (‘Naval Port Festival)’ was selected as the best brand in the category of festivals at the 2nd Korea Master Brand Awards.
Changwon City Hall announced that Jinhae Gunghangje received Minister of Government
Administration and Home Affairs as the best brand in the category of festivals for the 2nd Korea Master Brand Awards, which was held at International Conference Hall of Press Center of Korea Press Foundation (KPF) in Seoul.
Hosted by Seoul Shinmun and sponsored by Ministry of Government Administration and Home Affairs and NH Nonghyup, the Korea Master Brand Awards significantly contributes to the development of local communities by discovering, fostering, and revitalizing
regional brands through selecting winners from among 4,500 or so nationwide brands in the three categories of festivals, specialties, and desired regions.
An official from Changwon City Hall who attended the award ceremony said, “On behalf of 1.08 million city residents. I am very pleased that Jinhae Naval Port Festival has been selected as an excellent festival brand for the year’s Korea Master Brand Awards,”
and added, “For the 53rd Jinhae Gunghangje coming next year, we will do our best in welcoming domestic and international tourists by introducing differentiated contents.”
