Trails of forests in City connected into one

All forest trails in three former cities of Changwon, Masan and Jinhae, which have been united into the larger Changwon now, will be connected. Changwon will build a “well-being cross trail in the forests” by integrating hiking courses of mountains in the three former cities by next year. If there are not trails in certain sections, new ones will be constructed to link all of them into one.
The dullegil, or flank trail, will be 113.4 kilometers long. The trail starts at bambat (chestnut farm) path and goes to Mt. Muhak in Masanhoewon-gu, Mt. Cheonju, Mt. Taebok and Mt. Jeongbyeong in Uichang-gu, Mt. Bieum, Mt. Bulmo and Mt. Jangbok in Seongsan-gu, Jangbok Park Ungsan and Dream Park in Jinhae-gu and Sosa in Ung-dong. Hikers can enjoy the beautiful coast and sea and downtown Changwon, leisurely walking along the trail on the flank of the mountains.
The city has launched the flank trail project with 500 million won from state coffers as its proposed project for a trail in the green belt was approved by the Ministry of Land, Transport and Maritime Affairs.
This project was launched after Changwon suggested, “making a well-being route in the forests,” which the ministry approved of in the Nuri-gil greenbelt zone.
The city will divide the hiking trail into 10 sections and install the information kiosks at major locations. Citizens will be given certificates and gifts at every kiosk if they jog the trail.
